Months 1-3 | #UNBLEMISHChallenge

Yes – I am still doing the Unblemished Challenge. I’ve just had such a busy life lately with working with Rodan and Fields and of course my full time job, but also social life, wedding planning and getting to the gym on the daily that there really is not time to sit down and put all those mental noted down into proper sentences. But alas I try. If you just stumbled upon this post, I started the #UNBLEMISHChallenge so that I could document and review the Rodan and Fields UNBLEMISH Regimen and see if it helps my acne. If you haven’t read my intro to the new challenge – read it here. The UNBLEMISH Regimen is a three (four) step regimen – I followed the regimen described in the booklet that came with the regimen.

I’ve already gone over each product in Day 1 of the challenge – you can read my review here. You can read my first week of using the regimen here!

Well – what’s happened? So, I’ve been using the regimen day and night for the past few months. This is what I have obvserved:

Week 1 – 3 Perfect skin! So happy and wonderful! All pesky pimples are healing and my skin is evening out and no more super oily face! Life is great!

Month 1-2.9 The purge is real guys. I have never believed in the purge… but you bet I can believe it now! My skin broke out in all the ways! And also dried out at the same time. My face was itchy and new pimples were coming up all the time. I have never experienced this before as normally my skin just felt tight with most acne products. But here – I could see something was really happening I have to note that I knew it was a real purge of all the gross stuff sitting under my skin instead of a negative reaction to the products: the pimples came up and then died almost as soon as they came up! It was really different than anything I’ve ever experienced. I did learn through the very helpful documentation thats available with Rodan and Fields skincare, that the pimples you see on your face today have actually been under your skin for several weeks, just sitting there and waiting to ruin your day. How nice. So I was actually really happy that all that gross stuff was coming up and finally dying!! I was amazed at how effective this skincare is!! So I just kept washing my face and putting on the treatments…

Month 3… now Almost overnight, all the breakouts completely flattened. No joke. Like I took an iron and ironed my face. Ding dong, the witch is dead. Not really, but really. Here is what I used to help me get there, in addition to the regimen:

Sensitive Skin Treatment – This is absolutely amazing. It helps treat the most sensitive rosacea stricken skin and is a miracle worker when it comes to irritated skin! Living in a cold climate, everyone needs to have a tube of this.

Microdermabrasion Paste – The is absolutely no doubt as to why this is a favourite. It has tiny salt and sugar crystals to very gently but effectively scrub away the top layer of your skin so that your treatment can actually penetrate and do its job better. Using an exfoliator, either chemical or physical, will make your products work harder for you.

So what now… My skin is not entirely perfect, as you can see. I will still keep using the regimen until any breakouts are long gone. And then I will start working on my scaring – which could possibly be another series!

Stay tuned!

I hear so many good things about Rodan & Fields so I”m not surprised at how well it’s working for you. Your skin looks like it’s really improving based on the pic you shared. I love what you said about exfoliation because I am constantly trying to get women to do this! It seriously is so simple and yet incredibly skin changing!

Thank you! ☺️ Absolutely! Even with sensitive skin, it’s super important to exfoliate! ❤️ Thanks for your comment!
